This 2 Days Bujumbura City Tour is a classic safari for visitors who would prefer to see the sights of Burundi’s capital but are perhaps on a tight schedule. Day 1: Arrival – Bujumbura City.
When you arrive in Bujumbura in Burundi, a representative from our firm will greet you, give you an overview of the two-day tour, and transport you to the accommodation that has been reserved. Your arrival time will determine when you proceed on a quick tour of Bujumbura City. Dinner and a night in the Bujumbura hotel.

Day 2: Bujumbura City Tour – Rusizi National Park Tour
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast to take you to the city museum, where you can see the animals in the zoo that acts as a centre for education for Burundian students and citizens, providing one of the avenues through which the people of Burundi are taught about conservation. After returning to Bujumbura for lunch, you will visit the famous location where Livingstone and Stanley slept. You can discover more about Burundi’s explorers’ past there.
After lunch, take a boat ride on the Rusizi Delta at Rusizi National Park, where you may see hippopotamuses and birds while admiring the breathtaking views of the river and Lake Tanganyika. After your thrilling exploring day, our guide will take you to one of Lake Tanganyika’s best beach restaurants so you can enjoy a cool drink while watching the sun set. Afterwards, head back to Bujumbura and head to the airport to board your journey home.
