Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide from Verdant Safaris and transferred to your luxury hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you may spend the remainder of the day relaxing and recovering from your international journey while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere along the shores of Lake Victoria. Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, begin your journey northwards to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. Along the way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting rhino tracking experience on foot. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will have the opportunity to observe white rhinos in their natural habitat while learning about conservation efforts to restore Uganda’s rhino population. After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park and proceed to the top of the falls where the mighty River Nile forces itself through a narrow rocky gorge before plunging dramatically below. Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Following breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and travel south-west towards Kibale Forest National Park. Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering Kibale Forest in search of habituated chimpanzees. Guided by expert trackers, you will walk through the tropical rainforest while listening to the sounds of birds and primates echoing through the forest canopy. Observing chimpanzees as they feed, communicate and interact with one another is a truly fascinating experience. Besides chimpanzees, you may also encounter several monkey species and colourful forest birds. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature and community walk. Return to your lodge for lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.
