Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide from Verdant Safaris and transferred to your luxury hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you may spend the remainder of the day relaxing and recovering from your international flight while enjoying the serene atmosphere along the shores of Lake Victoria. Your guide will provide a detailed briefing about the safari and explain the exciting experiences that await you over the coming days. Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart Entebbe and embark on a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside characterised by rolling hills, tea plantations and traditional villages that provide a fascinating glimpse into rural life. Arrive in the afternoon and check into your luxury lodge situated near the forest. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings while listening to the sounds of birds and primates in the nearby forest. Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering Kibale Forest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Accompanied by expert guides and trackers, you will walk through the tropical rainforest while listening to the calls of primates echoing through the forest canopy. Observing chimpanzees feeding, grooming and interacting with one another is an unforgettable experience. Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

After lunch at your lodge, embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you will walk through ancient forest trails while learning about the ecology of this remarkable ecosystem. The trek may take several hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward of spending one hour with these gentle giants is incomparable. Observing mountain gorillas as they feed, play and care for their young is a profoundly moving experience that remains one of Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters.
